Women often take for granted healing in the postpartum body. They assume because a certain amount of time has gone by, their body should be “back to normal”. They will assume “this is my new norm”. Both of these assumptions are false. There is no reason women should be peeing themselves, ever. There is no reason women should have back pain when picking up or holding their children. With proper rehab, women should be able to bounce back even stronger after having children.

After over a year of being asked by my patients for this service, I am so happy to see it come to life. Postpartum Power is a 6 week rehabilitation program that focuses on the core, pelvic floor, and global strengthening. It is meant to re-teach a woman's body how to move safely and well. It is meant to provide community to new moms. It is meant to help prevent injury down the line when she is ready to go back to harder exercise like running and Crossfit. 

What is included? Good questions. You will receive 3 videos per week to your inbox that will last anywhere from 30-45 minutes. The exercise progressions were crafted by Dr. Katie, who is a pelvic floor specialist and a mom herself. You will also have access to a private Facebook group where you will be receiving motivation and accountability from a community of moms. You will also have access to these videos for life, so you can use them over and over if you'd like.

The program starts on June 1 and will last through July 10. While it will eventually come back, it will not be around forever.
